MT Newswires Live06-17

General Plastic Industrial's (TPE:6128) unit Katun experienced unauthorized access to its computer network on June 2, according to a Tuesday Taiwan Exchange filing.

In response, the company said its IT team immediately isolated affected systems and activated defensive protocols, while external cybersecurity specialists were brought in to support investigation and remediation efforts.

The incident has led to a temporary suspension of shipments, though operations are gradually resuming as systems recover.

The company is currently assessing the operational impact and has not yet determined potential financial losses, the filing said.
