China Shenhua Energy's Coal Sales Rise, Output Slips in May

China Shenhua Energy's (SHA:601088, HKG:1088) coal sales increased 12% year over year to 50.5 million tonnes in May, according to a Wednesday filing with the Hong Kong bourse.

On the other hand, commercial coal production slipped 4.1% to 41.7 million tonnes in the month.

For the five months ended May 31, coal sales jumped 3.3% year over year to 249.7 million tonnes, while production slid 4% to 207.2 million tonnes.
