Zip's (ASX:ZIP) US arm will integrate Stripe's shared payment tokens (SPTs) into its payments infrastructure, enabling its flexible financing options to be used in emerging artificial intelligence (AI)-driven agentic commerce experiences, according to a Tuesday statement by the company after market hours.
SPTs enable AI agents to execute transactions for consumers without revealing sensitive payment credentials, extending capabilities beyond conventional card-on-file arrangements.
The move enables the company to power next-generation checkout experiences while preserving customer control, transparency, and payment flexibility.
