MT Newswires Live06-18

Coupang (COUP) unit Coupang Eats and Baedal Minjok, known as Baemin, face potential antitrust penalties after the Korea Fair Trade Commission rejected their proposed settlements in an investigation into alleged unfair business practices, Bloomberg reported Wednesday.

The regulator has been examining claims that the companies required restaurant partners to keep prices and discounts on their platforms at levels matching or undercutting those offered through competitors, according to the report.

Coupang Eats, Baedal Minjok and Korea Fair Trade Commission did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' requests for comment.
