Bitcoin Eases, Further Recovery Looks Uncertain -- Market Talk

Dow Jones06-17 20:19

1219 GMT - Bitcoin trades slightly lower as it pulls back from the near two-week high reached Monday after the U.S. and Iran reached an interim peace deal, Trade Nation's David Morrison says in a note. However, it has recovered from the 20-month low of $59,125 hit on June 5. "Buying interest has slowly picked up since the low was hit earlier this month," he says. "But it's far too early to know if bitcoin can build on these gains." Bitcoin is now meeting a resistance band between $65,000 and $70,000, he says. Bitcoin drops 1.5% to $64,767, having risen to as high as $67,241 Monday, LSEG data show. (renae.dyer@wsj.com)
