1007 GMT - EssilorLuxottica's smart glasses are priced well below new market entrants from Snap, Equita's Domenico Ghilotti says. Social-media company Snap launched new augmented-reality glasses Tuesday that will retail at $2,195--far ahead of Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses, which sell for $799. Concerns around Snap's high price point is weighing on the company's share price, the analyst notes. Meanwhile, the Paris-listed company's new hardware tie-up with Applied Materials announced Tuesday will allow EssilorLuxottica "to maintain its leadership in the AR Glasses segment," Ghilotti says. EssilorLuxottica shares slip 2.3%, while Snap nudges up 0.8% premarket after sliding close to 10% in the last session. (josephmichael.stonor@wsj.com)
