Ocular Therapeutix said regulators are aligned on its plans to submit a new drug application for its Axpaxli injection as a treatment for wet age-related macular degeneration.
The biopharmaceutical company said Wednesday that it plans to submit the application to the Food and Drug Administration in the fourth quarter of 2026, putting Axpaxli on track for a potential commercial launch next year.
Ocular plans to use a regulatory pathway that can speed up the FDA's review timeline by up to two months.
Shares rose 3% to $9.22 ahead of the opening bell.
