1146 GMT - Technoprobe is benefiting from growing demand for its customers' chips, Equita Sim analyst Alberto Gegra writes. Samsung Electronics is seeing growing demand for its foundry business as a result of Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company's limited supply capacity, according to a report in Nikkei Asia. "The news is positive for stocks exposed to the production of advanced chips, including Technoprobe, as it is further confirmation of a strong imbalance between supply and demand," Gegra writes. Technoprobe makes chip-testing equipment used by manufacturers. Chip makers Samsung and Intel--which benefit from chip manufacturing scarcity--make up about 20% of Technoprobe's sales, Gegra estimates. Technoprobe shares rise 3.2%. (josephmichael.stonor@wsj.com)
