La-Z-Boy logged higher profit in its latest quarter as sales in its retail segment climbed. Chief Executive Melinda Whittington attributed the results to La-Z-Boy's retail expansion through new stores and the acquisition of independent stores. La-Z-Boy's company-owned stores now total 230 across North America, an all-time high of 61% of its total network, she said. The stock gained 18% to $41.22 in late trading.

Micropolis AI Robotics struck a deal with the Abu Dhabi government for an AI-powered autonomous urban cleaning ecosystem. Micropolis, a developer of autonomous robots and AI-enabled systems, said it would design, produce, deploy, operate and maintain the cleaning ecosystem under a five-year agreement with Abu Dhabi's Department of Municipalities and Transport. The stock surged 58% to $3.29 in after-hours trading.

Lionsgate Studios closed up 14% higher on Tuesday after Semafor reported that streaming company Netflix is interested in acquiring the movie and TV series producer after it lost a bidding war for Warner Bros. Discovery earlier this year. Several media companies are interested in buying Lionsgate, the report said, citing a person familiar with the matter. The stock pared some of its regular-session gains in after-hours trading, falling 4.4% to $15.64.
