MT Newswires Live07:32

Benz Mining (ASX:BNZ) said cyanidation test work results from the Icon camp at the Glenburgh gold project in Western Australia confirmed that the Icon gold is free milling with high recovery rates and low reagent consumption across all grade profiles tested, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.

It achieved around 95.5% gold extraction within 24 hours from composite samples representative of the higher-grade core of the Icon deposit, while mid-grade Icon mineralization reached around 91% gold extraction.

Rapid leach kinetics and low cyanide consumption were also confirmed, with Icon gold extraction generally complete within eight hours to 24 hours, while average cyanide consumption ranged from 0.18 kilograms-per-tonne (kg/t) of sodium cyanide to 0.22 kg/t of sodium cyanide.
