Travere Therapeutics said Chief Research Officer William Rote plans to retire from the company in February.
Chief Medical Officer Julia Inrig will expand her responsibilities to include the company's research organization and be named executive vice president, head of research and development and along with her medical chief role, Travere said.
"Since joining Travere in 2017, Bill has played a pivotal role in transforming our company into a recognized leader in rare disease," Chief Executive Eric Dube said.
Inrig joined the biopharmaceutical company in 2022 as CMO, overseeing clinical development and operations. She previously served as the global head of the Renal Center of Excellence at Iqvia, leading the design of programs that supported regulatory approvals in kidney disease, the company said.
