HSBC Holdings (HSBC) announced a multi-year partnership with Google Cloud aimed at expanding the bank's artificial intelligence capabilities, Reuters reported Tuesday.
The partnership will target wealth management advice, financial crime risk management, and AI-powered decision making for frontline staff, the report said.
HSBC said the tie-up should enable 200 additional AI-driven tasks over the next two years, with priority projects each targeting more than $100 million in revenue gains or efficiency improvements, according to the report.
HSBC will access Google's Gemini model and is already running 600 applications on Google Cloud, Reuters noted.
