0730 GMT - European indexes are mixed in cautious early trade. Technology stocks gain though consumer-sensitive stocks weaken, with the Europe-wide Stoxx 600 flat. London's FTSE 100 is flat as defense group Babcock slides 4.1% after reporting a fall in pretax profit. The French CAC 40 is down 0.1% amid weakness in consumer-exposed stocks and healthcare. The tech-heavy AEX rises 0.35% in Amsterdam. In Frankfurt, chip maker Infineon Technologies jumps 4.5%, helping to push the DAX up 0.3%. Defense giant Rheinmetall rises 1.35%, though autos and software group SAP limit the index's gains. Spain's IBEX 35 is flat, while the Italian FTSE MIB falls 0.25%. (josephmichael.stonor@wsj.com)
