NovaGold Resources (NG) reported a fiscal Q2 net loss Wednesday of $0.06 per diluted share, narrowing from a loss of $0.15 a year earlier.
Analysts surveyed by FactSet expected a loss of $0.06.
The company did not report revenue for the quarter ended May 31, as expected.
NovaGold said the results reflect higher expenditures at the Donlin Gold project due to ongoing activities. Donlin Gold is 60% owned by NovaGold and 40% owned by Donlin Gold Holdings.
Shares of the company were down nearly 3% pre-bell.
