Bombardier Delivers New Global 8000 to Shanghai Buyer, Expanding Asia Footprint -- Market Talk

Dow Jones06-23

0814 ET - Bombardier says it delivered a Global 8000 jet, the company's latest model, to its first customer in Asia. The Canadian business-aircraft manufacturer says it has handed to a Shanghai buyer its latest model jet, designed for missions that link major financial centers without refueling, supported long range and a top speed of Mach 0.95. Bombardier says delivery comes as demand for ultra-long-range business jets remains firm in Asia, where operators prioritize nonstop routes and time savings on intercontinental flights. The company says it has been expanding its footprint in the region, including plans to grow its Singapore service center. (adriano.marchese@wsj.com)
