3M and Airbus entered a long-term supply agreement, under which the manufacturer will provide thermal- and acoustic-insulation solutions for the aircraft cabin on the Airbus A220.
The thermal materials will help improve the aircraft's operational performance, while the acoustic insulation is expected to reduce noise throughout the cabin, 3M said Tuesday.
Terms of the supply agreement weren't disclosed.
3M said the agreement underscores the companies' "commitment to innovation in aircraft design and passenger experience."
