Sanofi (SNY) and the Department of Health Abu Dhabi said Tuesday they signed a memorandum of understanding to expand their vaccine innovation partnership and explore establishing a Vaccine Innovation Centre in Abu Dhabi.
The initiative will focus on AI-enabled vaccine discovery, mRNA research, clinical development and manufacturing, with the proposed center to be housed within Abu Dhabi's Health, Endurance, Longevity and Medicine cluster, the parties said.
The initiative aims to strengthen health preparedness while fostering scientific talent and expanding vaccine manufacturing capabilities and access, they added.
