0942 GMT - Shanghai Biren Technology is positioned to capture the structural upcycle in China's AI compute market, DBS analysts say in a research note. Local cloud service providers have increased their capital spending to support the surging inference demand and AI agent deployments, they note. Amid restricted access to foreign chips, domestic AI chip supply remains tight. Biren is expected to break into major cloud service providers with its next-generation BR20X chip entering validation in 2H and ramping to mass deployment in 2027, they note. Wafer supply constitutes the most critical bottleneck for China's AI chip sector, while Biren has proactively mitigated this risk through deepening strategic partnerships with domestic foundries, they add. Biren's shares last ended 3.9% lower at HK$61.65. (sherry.qin@wsj.com)
