Wanhua Chemical Shuts Down MDI Facility in Fujian, China for Maintenance

Wanhua Chemical (SHA:600309) will shut down its methylene diphenyl diisocyanate, or MDI, unit in the Fujian Industrial Park for maintenance, according to a Tuesday filing with the Shanghai bourse.

The shutdown could last for about 20 days, and will not impact Wanhua's operations, it said.

Wanhua's MDI unit in Fujian, which manufactures the base chemical for polyurethanes, has a capacity of 800,000 tons/year.
