Vail Resorts (MTN) may face a proxy battle from activist investor Oasis Capital Management, which is considering pushing for board changes and asset sales, Semafor reported Monday, citing people familiar with the matter.
According to the report, Cloudflare (NET) Chief Executive Matthew Prince has emerged as a potential buyer of Vail's mountain assets and has publicly advocated separating them from the broader business.
Semafor reported that Oasis Capital Management has amassed a sizable stake in Vail Resorts and held talks with the company, though it was unclear whether a proxy fight had been discussed.
Vail Resorts, Oasis Capital Management and Cloudflare did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' request for comment.
