Innoviz Technologies (INVZ) and the Israel-based Drive Group said Tuesday that they have signed a strategic collaboration to deploy InnovizSMART LiDAR sensors in advanced security and intelligent transportation systems, with a sales target of $20 million by the end of 2027.

The agreement includes an upfront purchase order from Drive Group to integrate Innoviz's LiDAR units into the "Barak LightGuard" system, a perimeter security and drone detection platform developed for critical infrastructure, border security, and transport applications, the companies said.

The system combines 3D LiDAR, video cameras, and AI analytics to detect and classify objects such as people, vehicles, and animals at distances of up to 1,000 meters, they said.

Innoviz said the deal establishes a potential multi-year revenue stream through expanded deployment in transportation and security projects.
