Market Chatter: ASML Says It Has Not Shipped EUV Chipmaking Tools to China After US Concerns

MT Newswires Live18:52

ASML (ASML) said it has never shipped its most advanced extreme ultraviolet lithography machines to China after US Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick raised concerns that one of the systems may have reached the country in violation of US export restrictions, Bloomberg reported Friday, citing a company spokesperson.

Lutnick recently discussed the matter with senior ASML executives, expressing concern that an EUV machine could be operating in China despite longstanding US-led curbs that prohibit the company from selling the equipment there, according to the report, citing people familiar with the talks.

ASML did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' requests for comment.
