HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering's (KRX:009540) wholly owned subsidiary HD Hyundai Samho suspended the manufacturing of vessels to carry out special safety training and safety inspections to prevent serious accidents at the production site.
The suspension is expected to affect sales of the unit that generated 8.071 trillion won in sales amount in the latest fiscal year. Production is scheduled to resume on Monday, according to a Friday filing with the Korea Exchange.
Shares of HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering fell nearly 6% at market close.
