Apollo Global Management (APO) co-founder Leon Black is set to testify before the House Oversight Committee on Friday as lawmakers investigate the federal government's handling of the Jeffrey Epstein case, the Financial Times reported Friday.
Black stepped down as Apollo's chief executive officer in 2021 following disclosures that he had paid Epstein more than $150 million for financial advice.
The hearing is part of a broader congressional investigation that has also included testimony from Bill Gates, according to the Financial Times.
Former Goldman Sachs executive Kathy Ruemmler and former Barclays Chief Executive Jes Staley are expected to testify next month, it added.
Apollo Global Management did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
