Ferrari's (RACE) EV model Luce, unveiled last month with $626,000 price tag, must be "digested" before it can be comprehended, said Gianmaria Fulgenzi, the automaker's chief product development officer told Reuters on Thursday.
The inaugural Ferarri EV-model is a four-door, five-seat sedan, a departure from the Italian manufacturer's heritage of gasoline-powered sports cars, sold alongside its participation in Formula 1 race events.
Ferrari said customer interest is strong in the EV, and it has denied reports that it is pressuring clients to buy Luce to qualify for the purchase of other limited-edition models.
Ferrari did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
