Market Chatter: Meta Could Explore Partnerships With Polymarket, Kalshi for New Prediction Market App

Meta Platforms Inc (META) CEO Mark Zuckerberg has urged executives to explore partnerships with prediction market platforms Polymarket and Kalshi as the company develops a similar app, the New York Times reported Friday, citing three employees with knowledge of the matter.

The app, called Arena, will use video-game-style points rather than real-money wagers, distinguishing it from Polymarket and Kalshi, according to the report.

Zuckerberg is targeting 18- to 34-year-olds and aims to reach at least 100 million monthly active users, the report said.

Arena is currently being tested internally and may not be released, with Meta planning to eventually integrate parts of it into Facebook and Messenger, per the Times.

Meta, Kalshi and Polymarket did not immediately respond to requests for comment from MT Newswires.
