Adidas Should Continue to Benefit from World Cup After Event Finishes
Dow Jones06-25
1134 GMT - Adidas should continue benefiting from the World Cup with similar revenue bookings in the second quarter to the first, and more in the second half, Jefferies analysts write. The German sportswear group booked 250 million euros of World Cup-related revenue in the first quarter. "The halo effect should extend beyond football fans as WC-inspired lifestyle ranges seem to resonate strongly with female consumers," they say. Jefferies has a buy rating on the stock and 190 euro target price. Shares are up 2.8% at 181 euros. (ian.walker@wsj.com)
