Corporacion America Airports will participate in a fast-track tender offer for full ownership of a 51%-owned subsidiary under an amendment agreement with the Brazilian Civil Aviation Authority.
The company said Friday that the unit, Inframerica Concessionaria do Aeroporto de Brasilia, entered into an amendment agreement with the authority which would see state-owned Infraero give up its stake in Inframerica, the administrator of Brazil's Brasilia Airport. The amendment agreement is related to the renegotiation process of the airport's concession agreement.
The agreement also includes 10 Brazilian regional airports in the concession, and covers additional investments into Brasilia Airport, Corporacion America Airports said.
Brazil's federal court is requiring a fast-track competitive public tender process for all of the equity in Inframerica, expected to take place by December. Corporacion America Airports said it plans to participate in the tender process, adding that the amended concession would be automatically granted to its Inframerica subsidiary if there are no bids.
