Stocks to Watch: Gamestop, Universe Pharmaceuticals, Healthcare Triangle

GameStop forecast a jump in adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization for the current fiscal year. The company said it expects adjusted Ebitda for the fiscal year ending Jan. 30, 2027, to be upwards of $600 million, compared to $345.4 million for the previous fiscal year. The forecast comes after the company reported a higher profit and rising sales in its most recent quarter and approved a $2 billion stock buyback. Shares ticked up 2.2% to $22.24 in late trading.

Universe Pharmaceuticals agreed to acquire Best Praise International Limited in an all-stock deal valued at $10.8 million. Under the deal, which is expected to close in the third quarter, Universe will pay for the acquisition with about 4.8 million shares of its common stock. Shares of Universe more than tripled to $9.34 in after-hours trading.

Healthcare Triangle entered a securities exchange agreement related to its acquisition of SecureKloud Technologies's assets. The company said it agreed to issue about 2.8 million shares of its common stock to SecureKloud in exchange for all of SecureKloud's right, title and interest in the 1.6 million shares of Series B preferred stock that Healthcare Triangle had previously issued under a 2024 agreement. The stock gained in after-hours trading before turning negative, and were recently down 5.9% at $1.92.
