Eli Lilly Says Foundayo, Zepbound Available Under Medicare GLP-1 Bridge Program

Eli Lilly (LLY) said Thursday its weight management medicines Foundayo and Zepbound will be available to eligible Medicare Part D patients for $50 a month under the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge program, starting July 1.

The program will run through Dec. 31, 2027, the company said.

Foundayo or orforglipron, a daily pill, and Zepbound, or tirzepatide, KwikPen for single patient use are approved for adults with obesity, or overweight who also have weight-related medical problems.

Lilly said about 20 million Medicare beneficiaries may meet the clinical criteria to access the medicines.

Shares of Eli Lilly were up more than 1% in Thursday trading.
