GE Aerospace's (GE) jet engines are expected to be included in a planned US sale to Turkey despite objections from the US Congress, Reuters reported Wednesday, citing four sources familiar with the matter.

The package is expected to include dozens of jet engines and be worth more than $700 million, according to the report.

The engines are intended to power Turkey's first indigenous combat jet, Kaan, Reuters said.

GE Aerospace did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
