Inoviq (ASX:IIQ) said its CAR-exosome platform showed "strong" in vitro tumor-killing activity in ovarian cancer cell lines, adding to the platform's potential in oncology therapy, according to a Thursday filing with the Australian bourse.

The CAR-exosomes eliminated up to 90% of ovarian cancer cells within 48 hours in a study that evaluated their in vitro efficacy, per the filing.

The CAR-exosome platform has now demonstrated positive in vitro tumor-killing activity across multiple hard-to-treat cancers, including triple negative breast cancer, non-small cell lung cancer, and ovarian cancer, the company said.

Inoviq shares fell nearly 4% in recent Thursday trade.
