Charles Schwab Corp (SCHW) said Wednesday its stress capital buffer will remain at the regulatory minimum 2.5% following the Federal Reserve's 2026 Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review.
The brokerage said its common equity Tier 1 ratio stood at 26.3% as of March 31, well above the combined regulatory minimum requirement of 7.0%, reflecting the relatively low-risk nature of its balance sheet assets.
Schwab's consolidated Tier 1 leverage ratio was 8.9% at the end of the Q1, compared with 9.3% at year end 2025.
