Alphabet's (GOOG, GOOGL) Waymo has registered a local entity in Germany as it looks to extend its driverless ride-hailing service beyond the US, Bloomberg reported Thursday, citing a company registration filing.

The entity, Waymo Germany GmbH, was registered June 15 with Google's Munich office listed as its business address, the report said, adding that a launch is not imminent.

Waymo said it is also laying groundwork for launches in London and Tokyo, according to the report.

Waymo did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
