IsoEnergy (ISOU) said Monday it temporarily suspended exploration activities at its Larocque East uranium project in Saskatchewan after the Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency, or SPSA, advised that conditions were too dangerous to continue work because of a nearby wildfire.
The company said it has evacuated most field personnel, with three contractors remaining at the site to operate pumps and sprinkler systems as a precaution.
IsoEnergy said all personnel have been accounted for and no injuries have been reported.
Based on current guidance from the SPSA, personnel could remain away from the project for up to one week. The company said a one-week evacuation is not expected to affect completion of its planned 8,000-metre drill program.
