Edwards Lifesciences (EW) secured 510(k) premarket clearance for the Ecliptis Left Atrial Appendage Exclusion System on Friday, according to a notification on the US Food and Drug Administration's website.
The regulator determined the implantable left atrial appendage clip as "substantially equivalent," the notification added.
