Aurum Resources (ASX:AUE) identified high-grade gold mineralization during its ongoing 100,000-meter diamond drilling program at the 3.22 million ounce Boundiali gold project in the Ivory Coast, according to a Monday Australian bourse filing.
The results were of up to 6.54 meters at 13.36 grams per tonne grade of gold from 272 meters, including 3.7 meters at 23.32 g/t gold from 274 meters and 1.7 meters at 70.35 g/t gold.
The company said drilling confirmed gold mineralization outside of the known mineral resource at the BDT2 deposit, with the gold system remaining open.
Aurum has planned 130,000 meters of drilling for the current year, with the next Boundiali MRE update targeted for the end of the third quarter and a definitive feasibility study (DFS) expected later in the year, it added.
