China Southern Airlines' (HKG:1055, SHA:600029) 55%-owned cargo subsidiary agreed to purchase seven freighter aircraft from Boeing, according to a Friday Hong Kong bourse filing.
China Southern Air Cargo will acquire five new Boeing 777-8F aircraft and two new Boeing 777F aircraft. The agreement also gives the carrier the right to purchase three additional Boeing 777-8F aircraft.
The aircraft will be delivered in stages from 2027 to 2034, with the purchase funded through the group's internal resources.
Hong Kong-listed shares of the airline were down over 2% in Monday morning trade.
