D-Wave Quantum (QBTS) said Tuesday that it has been selected to receive a roughly $1.6 million grant from the US National Science Foundation to support its role in a project led by Yale University that aims to develop foundational technologies for fault-tolerant quantum computing.
The Erasure Qubits and Dynamic Circuits for Quantum Advantage, or ERASE, initiative focuses on developing hardware, software, error correction techniques, and applications for scalable fault-tolerant quantum systems, the company said.
D-Wave said it will provide, through its Quantum Circuits subsidiary, access to its dual-rail gate-model quantum computing technology to participating researchers.
