Toyota Motor's Global Vehicle Sales Fall for Fourth Straight Month in May

Toyota Motor's (TM) global group vehicle sales fell 7.4% year-over-year in May to 885,207 units, marking a fourth consecutive monthly decline, the automaker reported Monday.

Overseas sales for the group, including subsidiary Daihatsu Motor, dropped 9.9% to 728,568 vehicles.

Sales of Toyota-branded vehicles, including Lexus, saw a 38.6% decline in in the Middle East and a 31.7% fall in China amid a challenging market environment, the company said.
