Market Chatter: Coca-Cola Seeks Banks to Back Indian Bottling Company IPO

MT Newswires Live07-02 17:13

Coca-Cola (KO) has asked investment banks to offer proposals for an initial public offering of its Indian bottling unit in a deal that could raise about $1 billion and could value the company at $10 billion, Bloomberg reported Thursday, citing people familiar with the matter.

The presentations are scheduled for next week, the report said.

Deliberations are ongoing, and details including the timing, size, valuation and structure of the IPO could still change, the people said.

Coca-Cola did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' request for comment.
