BHP Group (ASX:BHP) secured a four-year non-union agreement covering 4% yearly pay raises and higher allowances and benefits with its workforce at the Mining Area C and South Flank operations in Western Australia, the Australian Financial Review reported Friday.

The enterprise agreement, which covers 1,814 staff, received a nod from about 58% of the voting workforce at the two iron mines.

Tim Day, asset president of Western Australia Iron Ore at BHP, called the agreement a "win-win" for both sides, AFR reported.

"This agreement maintains industry-leading pay and conditions while supporting safe, productive and sustainable operations at MAC and South Flank," Day said as quoted by AFR. "It also provides greater certainty for our workforce and operations into the future."
