0306 GMT - Hygon Information Technology is a key beneficiary of the CPU renaissance thanks to the agentic AI development, Bernstein analysts write in a research note. Agentic AI is driving the expansion of the server CPU total addressable market, creating a much larger opportunity for Hygon than investors currently appreciate, the analysts say. Accelerating domestic production and tightening supply of foreign CPUs should drive substantial market-share gains for Hygon, they add. The analysts note that rapid AI infrastructure expansion is tightening AMD and Intel CPU supply globally, with available capacity increasingly allocated to large U.S. hyperscalers. Bernstein reckons Hygon's CPU performance is only two to three years behind those of Intel and AMD and remain sufficiently competitive for a growing range of workloads. Shares rise 3.6% to 333.80 yuan. (sherry.qin@wsj.com)
