Trump Says Fed Chair Warsh Faces 'Hostile' Board on Rate Policy

President Donald Trump said Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh faces a board that is "a little bit hostile" and "maybe a board that wants to do the wrong thing," suggesting the Fed chief may not be able to steer monetary policy as he would like, Bloomberg reported Thursday, citing an interview with CNBC.

Trump said Warsh is "a great guy and a great pro" but "has to do what he has to do," after being asked whether a weaker-than-expected June jobs report gave the Fed more flexibility to cut interest rates.

He also said his administration would restart efforts to remove Fed Governor Lisa Cook following a Supreme Court ruling on procedural grounds.
