Arcs' Attributable Profit Up 3% in Fiscal Q1

Arcs' (TYO:9948) profit attributable to owners of the parent rose to 2.88 billion yen for the fiscal first quarter from nearly 2.8 billion yen a year earlier.

The supermarket company's basic earnings per share increased to 54.09 yen from 51.85 yen a year ago, according to a Tokyo bourse filing on Friday.

Net sales rose 2.7% to 158.5 billion yen in the three months ended May 31 from 154.3 billion yen in the prior-year period.

For the full fiscal year ending Feb. 28, 2027, the company expects attributable profit of 12.4 billion yen, basic EPS of 232.73 yen, and net sales of 648 billion yen.

Arcs plans to pay an interim dividend of 41 yen per share and a year-end dividend of 41 yen per share for the current fiscal year, totaling 82 yen per share, unchanged from last year's amount.
