Tata Power's (NSE:TATAPOWER, BOM:500400) Tata Power Renewable Energy commissioned a 100.8-megawatt wind power project in Jewali, Maharashtra, according to an Indian bourse filing on Friday.
The project comprises 28 wind turbine generators and is expected to generate 299 million units of electricity annually. Power from the facility will be supplied to Tata Power's Mumbai distribution business to help meet its renewable purchase obligations.
With this addition, Tata Power's wind portfolio has crossed over 3.9 GW, while total renewable utility capacity has reached 11.6 GW.
