Sinomine Resource to Shut Down Lithium Salt Operations for Maintenance

MT Newswires Live07-01 17:03

Sinomine Resource (SHE:002738) will temporarily stop lithium salt operations at its Sinomine (Jiangxi) Lithium subsidiary for maintenance due to a shortage of lithium concentrate at the facility, according to a Wednesday filing with the Shenzhen bourse.

The mine experienced a temporary mismatch between the shipping schedules for its self-produced lithium concentrate and its lithium salt plant's production schedule.

The 30,000-ton/year lithium salt line at Jiangxi Zhongkuang Lithium Industry stopped operations effective Tuesday, while the 35,000-ton/year lithium salt facility will shut down temporarily starting July 11 with a partial low-load capacity.

Operations will resume by the end of July.
