Ecolab (ECL) said late Thursday it closed its acquisition of CoolIT Systems, a provider of direct liquid cooling for high density data centers, for approximately $4.75 billion.

With this acquisition, Ecolab can now offer end-to-end solutions across the full AI value chain, from ultra-pure water to produce advanced chips, to high-performing water systems and direct liquid cooling for powerful AI data centers, the company said.

Ecolab said it plans to introduce a breakthrough cooling platform combining CoolIT technologies to optimize water, power, and compute performance at scale.

Ecolab expects 2026 adjusted diluted EPS of $8.03 to $8.23, representing 7% to 9% growth versus 2025.

Short-term impacts from the CoolIT acquisition, primarily related to non-cash amortization and financing costs, are expected to reduce EPS by $0.20 in Q3 and Q4, the company said.
