Asara Resources (ASX:AS1) said it identified high-grade gold mineralization during recent drilling at its Kada Gold Project in Guinea, West Africa, according to a Tuesday Australian bourse filing.
The results were of up to 40 meters at 0.9 grams per tonne gold, including 6 meters at 1.9 grams per tonne gold, from the latest assay results from 40 drill holes comprising 6,218 meters of reverse circulation (RC) and diamond drilling, completed as part of the phase 1 drilling program at the Massan deposit, the filing added.
The company said the next set of results from 21 drill holes totaling 2,036 meters from the phase 2 air core and RC drilling program at the Massan deposit are designed to test and increase the extents of the deposit and grow its inferred resource.
Results from areas with little to no previous drilling along the north-south mineralized corridor continue to demonstrate significant exploration upside, and the under-drilled nature of the Massan deposit beyond the current core mineralized area, it added.
The company's shares fell almost 4% in recent Tuesday trade.
