Coursera Plans Workforce Reduction Following Udemy Combination

Coursera (COUR) has committed to a workforce reduction plan following its combination with Udemy to align its cost structure, operating model, and personnel needs with goals and priorities, the company said in a late Monday filing.

The company will incur about $8 million to $11 million in expenses related to the workforce reduction plan, primarily consisting of severance payments and healthcare benefits, according to the filing.

Coursera expects most of these charges to be cash expenditures incurred during Q3 and Q4, the company added.
